TD EasyWeb users, try this....

I use Chrome, and I don't have my passwords saved, only usernames/card numbers.

I've tried this about 6 times, and it works every time.

Try logging in with your password in this fashion. Assuming your password is "abc123":

1. Enter your username/card #
2. Enter your password as "abc123" and then append with anything else. So for example: "abc1234567" or "abc123sexymofostudmuffin"

It logs me in every time as long as I get my password in correctly before appending anything else....

TD used to ignore any characters past a certain amount. I had a 10 character password and I only had to put in the first 6 characters to log in.

Mine seems to require exactly all N digits to work. If I take some off down to 6 it doesn't work. If I add digits it doesn't work.

Could be changed now. I just know it used to be that way not long ago where I only needed the first 6 characters. I figure it has changed since, but just thought I'd mention it due to the OP's findings.

Yes, I've noticed this as well. I think I noticed sometimes even "abc12" works.

My password has never been changed, but it was only created this January :)
(well I guess that counts as a change from whatever default/temp one was setup in the rep's office when I opened the account)

I have very long password and I tried with 6 or up to the end, just missing 1 character and both times didn't work

They used to truncate the password field, but they changed it a while back (I think it was about 1-2 years ago).

TD requires minimum 8 character p/w. If I leave off any of the last characters of my p/w it does not work. If I add extra characters at the end it ignores them and logs me in.

My password is "mypassword"

I entered "mypassword12345678" and it signed me in successfully.

That's smart. Too many people just use "password". "mypassword" is much harder to guess. Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling EyesSmiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes
