This is all easy to check these days using your favorite search engine.
No. You post examples of this. Not the readers job to back-up accusations about Canadian banks.

This truly is very unfortunate to hear. You absolutely must contact the TD ombudsman, as well as retrieve your credit reports to look for other suspicious activity. Should also look into that credit card and get it cancelled - or perhaps even request a copy of the application.

It's important to be firm and keep track of all your communications with the bank - name of person, time, and what was discussed.

Good luck.

You may want to put a credit alert on your credit reports if someone is trying to open stuff in your name!!

And like an above poster said get your free credit report from Transunion and Equifax and see if any accounts show up that aren't yours.
