TD/ME: Intel Core™ i7-3770K Processor, 3.50GHz w/ 8MB Cache - $299.97 ($284.97 YMMV)
On sale at TD for two days;

Now here it gets tricky .. the part # on TD's website is slightly different. I cannot find it on any other retailer's website, neither can I find it on Intel's part number database. So at this point I'm assuming it's an error on TD's part? Anyway if PM is possible, you can save another $15 by PM'ing ME;

UPDATE: PM with ME is as expected YMMV;

very strange, BX80667i73770K doesn't even show up on intel website
only TD sells this model in canada...
Knowing TD, i wouldn't be suprised if this some gray market stuff
On the flip side you can also PM with FS/BB but the PM would be slightly higher at $292.

Good deal.
Yeah, that part # is different from ME and Newegg.
BX80667i73770K vs BX80637I73770K
A new stepping perhaps?

YMMV with FS/BB as well, since their price match policy does not work for coupons.

Sure, doesn't hurt. When ME price matches they compare their part number to their competitor's part number. If it doesn't match, it's up to the manager to decide whether or not to price match. It's still an i7-3770K chip, so my best guess is that they'd honor the price match.

All these CPU choices make it difficult to decide. Is the i5-3570K overclocked a better all-round performer than the i7-3770 considering that only a handful of applications can take advantage of hyperthreading to run more than 4 threads? Is it really worth $60 more to get the i7-3770K?
