personally i find this a great deal. have 2. run pretty decent. dropped it more than 10 times and it still works. quite durable.

Eh, not so hot. IMO, might as well spend extra $$$ and get a 1GB/2GB capable of readyboost.

Can't wait till those rally drives go back on sale at NCIX.

ummm, readyboost is just a means of dumping small cache files on the flash drive for sequential reads vs using the hard disk. all flash drives should be capable. dont know about mp3 players tho. I tried to use my memorex 512mb flash drive (that I got for like 5 dollars on boxing day from FS) with readyboost, but I saw absolutely no improvement in vista ultimate retail version. Then again, I am running 2 15k fujitsu's. Flash drive ram is way way way to slow to make a big impact anyway.

true. all drives are capable of readyboost. thye say it on package becasue they want you to buy.

but it's a nice price though.

For a device to be compatible and useful it must conform to the following requirements:

* The capacity of the USB device must be at least 256 MB
* The USB device must support USB 2.0
* The device should have an access time of 1ms or less.
* The device must be capable of 2.5 MB/s read speeds for 4 kB random reads spread uniformly across the entire device and 1.75 MB/s write speeds for 512 kB random writes spread uniformly across the device.
* The device must have at least 235 MB of free space
* The initial release of ReadyBoost supports one device.

Or so I've heard.
Yeah, I've read some reviews on readyboost so far and they don't seem to have as big a impact as claimed by windows. :P

Readyboost works somewhat if you only have 512MB of RAM. Which is almost nobody, so yes, it is a useless feature.
