Good luck with the fundraising. I participated in a team diabetes even last summer (Iceland) and it was a great event.

If I was in Ottawa I would bid on some stuff.. Seems like some good deals to be had still.

Thanks, I appreciate the bump! I'm also glad you think we've got some good deals, so far most of the items are still at the 50% mark, which for restaurant gift certs, its hard to go wrong with anything below 100%
If there's anything available there that you can use in your area, such as a gift cert at a nation chain located in your city, just let me know and we can make arrangements. However, I think for the most part you're right, it is pretty local to Ottawa.

I used to volonteer for them and was going to do one of their fundraising trips.

I voonteered at the Grey Cup selling raffle tickets and the women volonteers were harassed by people there and the Diabetes Foundation did not do anything about it then.
Quite a few people , esp the older volonteers were very upset about it.
