I can't believe you served him if you recognized he left without paying last time.
If he comes in again tell him to f##k off. if he gives you any lip take him outside and show him what it's like...

teens dined and dashed at our restaurant
we own a diner. there's this guy who is no more than 21 years old who came to eat last week with a girl. he asked if he had enough for a meal with 10$ ("because that's all he had"), and we were like yea. they ate and they were at the door leaving while they thought we were "too busy" to notice. we yelled at them to stop and the guy was like "oh I didn't pay yet?"... shut up, check your pocket to see if your "$10" is still there and you would know!!! maybe it was a honest mistake, but it didn't seem like it because the acting was so bad!
anyway, he came again with another girl today... i should have made them pay before! they ate and left without paying!!! this time they ran! but we got their license plate with the help of another customer. we called and reported it to the cops. i hope the cop will track them down. although the bill is only 10.30$, it makes me very angry!!! and he should be taught a lesson!!!! who the heck eats and leave a family-owned diner?? what is the law consequence of dining without paying, by the way? what should i do the next time he comes to the restaurant?? are we legally allow to not take his order??? next time i will refuse him and take his picture! i just want him to feel humiliated! no way will i allow him to step in our restaurant again!
cheap bastard!!!

Might not want to put his picture up in a location where other customers can see it though. I'm pretty sure there could be legal problems for you if you do so

You had to register just to post this? LOL and of course you had to add that they were teens. Well for your information, I'm a teen and I have never dined and dashed. So keep your agism to yourself and don't make an account on a message board to put down an age group.
Who dines and dashes at a family owned restaurant? A greedy, selfish person who would do it at any restaurant. Especially since he did it twice and came in with two different girls I doubt this guy is anything short of "low class"._______________Korean girlfriends? Learn to Google? Save money?
What RFD can do for you?
If you drive dangerously I hope you get caught and lose your license/car/dignity!

Lol. No, I didn't registered today to post this. It's actually my first post after joining since last year or something like that. I guess I just needed to vent! And I don't even know why I called him a teen or sounded like I was using ageism. Because I am 21 years old myself. Ok, I meant to say young adult man in my topic title... but then you would say i am putting down another age group. I don't mean to. I really don't mean to put anybody down but him. I don't think everyone is like him.
And I guess I am kidding about the picture-taking... I won't do it.

just refuse to serve him and ask him to leave the restaurant or u'll call the cops but i'll doubt he'll come back since he didnt pay and i doubt the police will do anything for a measly 10 dollars.
he'll probably get his friends to dine at ur restaurant and dash out like he did_______________

Are you Chinese or of Asian extract? I kept getting the image of a "Mr. Lee" yelling and screaming about how cheap bastard eat your food and not pay in that Seinfeld overtone.
Anyway, it's a private business and you can deny anyone you like. Punks today though; they could come backand vandalize your business if it's the wrong person you've crossed.

It sucks and best of luck to you OP but you topped off a great day because your rant was funny as hell. Knowing bums in Montreal, they'll probably be brave enough to come back and act like nothing happened. Please keep us updated if they do.

thats terrible. Anyways... the dine and dash is theft. He'll get in a good amount of trouble for such a silly thing.......
Imagine that... getting booked b/c you couldnt shell out $15-$20 for you and your girl to eat... =\_______________
