TekSavvy Bandwidth tracking - Cable

Are the Cable users able to track their Bandwidth yet? I remember in September that they said they
do not have a program that allows users to track their program but they will soon.
Not really worried since I have more than enough but it'd be nice to know.

Short answer, no. Just don't abuse it or go crazy and don't worry about it. One day I'm sure Rogers will have it set up for them.

Dont worry about it just yet. And no, rogers has not given them the proper software or resources to track usage.

I was under the impression they CAN track it (be it Teksavvy or Rogers). It's just for the end-user, we have no way to track it?

If you have a router running tomato or dd-wrt, you can monitor usage rather easy.

In with Cogeco and you do have tracking through your account online. Shows your upload as well as your download bandwidth usage.

It doesnt mean rogers doesnt have records of each teksavvy account. It is quite possible down the road those records of bw usage might be made available to teksavvy and teksavvy could charge you for those months you went over. It is in the agreement. Nothing prevents them from doing this.

Dont abuse it too much, or you might pay for the overage charges later on.

"Overage on all packages that are not unlimited will be charged at $0.50/GB to a maximum of $25/month."
Well they apparently use a rolling usage type charge but they don't have that on site anymore. But remember, all companies do have fine prints to cover their ***** . But from what I was told they do rolling usage and it still applied BUT I would say if you did like crazy usage like 1000gb a month something will be employed XD.

I doubt i will use like 1000GB a month. How much bandwidth do you guys think you use per month?

I'm on DSL with teksavvy, i used to be able to track my bandwidth but it seems like they removed that feature a while ago (unless i'm blind because ive tried looking on the site for it and am unable to find it)

I use anywhere from 80-140GB a month generally... but im only on their DSL6 plan, remember if you are getting a fast speed odds are you would use up more bandwidth

I believe only DSL, Teksavvy at one point said they will have bandwidth tracking for cable shortly, but I think that was quite a while ago already.

Just install Networx, it can track bandwidth on multiple computers on the same network too.
