No throttling :)

A great deal considering UBB rates for DSL users.

Looks like they're wholesaling Videotron's service in Quebec.

Don't know if they will be able to jump onto Rogers territory here in Ontario but if they do come to Ontario and the rates and caps are anything like those, I may just stick with DSL.

Well... that is, of course, considering how UBB changes things.

those are the same caps regular cable subs are on with other companies. and they are enforced by the tpia agreement of the crtc. there is nothing teksavvy can do about it.

I don't much care about the speed. But the cap should be at least 200Gb in order to be useful.

The real question is...how much would Teksavvy charge if a user went over their cap?

If it's the same as the big telco companies, then I'm afraid Teksavvy's "touch" has been lost forever.

What's the point with the low caps and high prices?

Why even bother?

well those caps and prices are akin to what is offered in Quebec.

Teksavvy cable that will be offered here in Ontario will likely be line with what Rogers already offers.

It will provide an alternative to those who don't yet have cable internet and/or those who currently use DSL but don't get very good speeds on DSL.

Still, everything is up in the air until their plans are out so we'll see.

This might be for me...
I've been with execulink(golden originally) for years and they are pretty awesome but my speeds are pathetic (1.5 down max about 300k up)...I'm too far from the CO or the cable on my street is terrible(they are actually digging it up now...
I asked Bell about that fibe service but they said I could get the maximum but they also said that about the regular dsl which is BS...not interested in signing up to find out it was total nonsense and have to deal with Bell to cancel...

I'd rather support an independent even if the lines are owned by one of the cartels...
