Anyone knows whed is TS planning to offer Cable Internet in Northern parts of GTA like Vaughan and Markham?
I will be so happy to switch to a no cap Internet service or see Rogers offering no cap to keep me as their client.

I just called them, and asked if there was any catch or if the service would change.

The very nice lady told me that until the CRTC works out some things they can offer this service. But it can and may change - timeframe unknown.

I don't believe TekSavvy works on contracts so the month it changes for the worst, you'd have to pay the new price or cancel. (That's me saying that).

The price is great, Rogers of old. It's just the activation fee and modem cost (maybe get cheaper elsewhere) would bug me if I switch and it changes in 3 months. (In addition to those fees, I'd have to pay out about 3 months cancellation on my Rogers 1 year contract).

First thing to do is call Rogers and see if I can get anything :)

Aside from 20-30% off your cable internet price there is probably nothing else they will offer (they offer 20% no contract, 30% off if you sign 1 yr). Definitely not better caps anyways.

This is some great news. I would definitely get this package from TSI.

Agreed - won't hurt to try. I'm already on the 30% coupon (but since this impacts only the base service my bill is still $100).

They could save me something on my cell bill to keep me as well. Don't care where the savings come from.

I will definitely be switching to the unlimited cable! Good thing I decided to hold off on upgrading my dsl modem...its a sorry old thing, but its still working even with its broken wifi antenna. Looks like I wont be needing its service much longer!

I just called and apparently the cable service isn't yet available for "amalgamated" Toronto...only the city itself. North York, Etobicoke, etc are going to be later this month I was told by the rep.

I live in Weston (North York).

Thanks for the list buddy as I'm in R.hill and will be waiting impatiently!!

I'm currently with TSI DSL but my speed is way too slow at 1.7 only =(

Very happy here that TSI upped the cap to match DSL. I'll be switching to cable as soon as it's available.

$45 activation kinda sucks though.. will see how it is in the fall.. still quite some time left on my 1 year Acanac DSL.

And also hoping the cable modem I bought from Rogers awhile ago is one of the 'approved' ones.. though guessing, it should probably work regardless.

I don't like activation fee.
They should wave the fee or going back to Known evil Rogers.

Teksavy people should note this and not make money by charging activation fee.

At least I can save money on modem bought from Rogers Plus.DPC2100r2

EDIT: I missed this "If a Dispatch is required for troubleshooting = $99"
