Totally up to you If you want to cough out the extra $$. My DCM modem that I bought from Teksavvy has been fine!
For the 24Mbps you should get the DCM475 (DOCSIS 3.0) as this what Teksavvy suggests to get to use with their service/line!
For the 3-12Mbps you should get the DCM425 (DOCSIS 2.0) as this Is what Teksavvy suggests to get to use with their service/line!
It lists that on their site.. Well not exactly what I just said but yeah.. Look here! http://teksavvy.com/en/res-internet.asp#cable
Thanks for confirming things!Last edited by Jimboski; Feb 8th, 2012 at 09:13 PM.

OK. I'm definitely gonna get the dcm475 modem kit tomorrow from my local cc.
So I should be able to sign up for it even though the postal code check on the teksavvy website says otherwise?
And the 129 and tax includes the activation fee, ,modem and 1 month of extreme srvice right?
I currently have the teksavvy DSL service 6megs service and am paying about the same maybe a dollar or two less. So I guess I'll run these two simultaneously for a week or two and then see. Hopefully the cable service ain't that congested during peak hours.
Thanks for all the help guys_______________

I mean what does It say when you punch In your postal code? Maybe whenever you call them the Teksavvy CSR will just do the same thing and see If service Is available In your area and base It off that If they can activate your service or not!? (By do the same thing I mean they will use the postal code checker) If anything you can maybe call right now If they're still open and see what they say before actually purchasing your order.. If you can activate now then that would be great but If not just buy the package anyways and keep It for another time when they do have availability In your area!
Yeah that seems right, Modem + Activation Fee + 1 Month service on the bundle you got._______________

Tried buying a kit online but it didn't work, there's no checkout button and the item doesn't show up in the shopping cart. Looks like a dummy folder on their website (canadacomputers.com/canadacomp).
