I need some advice.
I purchased the Teksavvy Extreme starter kit in Nov 2011, called in to activate in Dec 2011 and was told there was a stop order and couldn't activate me. Tried again recently and they're still not accepting new activations in my area. My question is what are my options?
I can't return the kit to Canada Computers obviously because it's been so long. Are they still accepting people calling in with the kit in other areas?
Is it possible to sell the kit as such or can I only sell it as a standalone modem?
Thanks!!

Teksavvy was supposed to accept new sign-ups from anyone who purchased the starter kit (I bought mine in November and had no trouble activating it). I guess you got unlucky with a new CSR rep who didn't know that. I am not sure if the 1-month free offer and activation waiver are still available, but if you call them now and make a big fuss about your situation you might be able to get everything sorted out.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up calling in to Rogers to upgrade to a better plan (25% off for the year/1 yr contract). So I won't be thinking about switching till next year at the earliest. I must have gotten a rep that didn't know better @ Teksavvy
So I guess my main question is, can I still sell it as a "kit" or can I only sell it as a modem? I don't want a buyer taking it off my hands only to find out they can't get free activation/1 month! It sounds like no one knows for certain?

Teksavvy was in talks with Canada Computers around the time of the price changes. At that time popular speculation was that the kits would be back once the major upgrades get installed. Since then Teksavvy has aggressively cut costs in a few areas, and that combined with the increased activation fee from February 2nd leads me to speculate that if the kits do come back, they will not be nearly as good a deal.
Of course DSL reports has been offline for a couple of weeks now, so there will be news soon on many fronts I expect. Also, please note that I sell cable modems (for use with Acanac, Teksavvy, Start Communications, and etc.), so I may have a bit of a conflict of interest on this topic
