Telephone Interview
Having a telephone interview from CIBC. Never had telephone interview experience before. I believe if I can pass the telephone interview with HR & then they might offer me for official interview with the dept. manager?
Any advise/suggestion for me to get success in the tel. interview?
Many THANKS.

Read all you can on behavioural interview questions. Their HR dept is big on this based on my experience.

Based on my past experiences:
-Always let the interviewer finish talking. I usually wait half a second before saying anything. It may sound awkward but the interviewer can't hold that against you.
-Do your telephone interview in a locked room with no distractions. Make sure your stove is turned off and doorbell disabled.
-Always bring a paper, pen, and resume with you
-The biggest advantage in any telephone interview is that you can make as many notes as possible and spread it infront of you during the interview. USE IT!
-On the flip side, the biggest disadvantage is that the interviewer cannot see you. So put a bit more emotion into your speech and think out loud. When I mean think out loud, don't mumble out your thoughts but actually speak in coherent sentences so that the interviewer can follow along._______________

So I am assuming this is the same position as a Financial Service Representative - correct me if I am wrong.
For me, I had 4 rounds of interviews, 2 phone, 2 in person.
My best advice for this position would be - Be yourself. Since you got the interview, you must have the required experience and financial education they are looking for. Be prepare to answer the basic situational questions such as conflict with customers, employees etc. Do you have a list of behavioural questions? If not, let me know, I'll send you a copy. Good luck.
