TELUS - activate sim card..upgrade from cdma to hspa
hi, as the title states im having problems activating the SIM card i just bought
on Telus' website activation includes
-new to telus
-change phone
-add subscriber
im on an existing CDMA data plan on a pearl and i just bought a torch and SIM card
how would i do this online. dont want to activate any new plan or anything 
just want to activate the sim to put in my torch and continue using my old plan.

Should use change phone, you can also call in.

that wouldnt activate the SIM though, it would just give me the option of changing my old cdma phone to a new one...
dont want to call it in because they charge 25 or 35 just to do this..online is 10

it's definitely "change phone"
try a couple times, then call in to say it's not working. you'll likely have the fee waived.

so i ended up calling in, told them i couldnt do it online..they did it for 10..
if i try equipment swap, it shows the sim as my current phone
only problem is my torch shows insert sim card/out of service, and the phone is unlocked
my pearl still has service/data
any ideas?

what carrier was the torch originally locked to?

everything is good now..thanks for the help
torch was rogers..
problem was my old cdma phone wasnt deactivated by the first guy i talked to..
