At least the price of the phones are starting to go down. Samsung s9 and Huawei p20 are $0 on premium smartphone.

I'm surprised the P20 Pro is still so high relative to the S9 and S9+.

I think I'll pull the trigger on the S9, but at this point I can't resist waiting until next week to see if there are any surprises. But it seems like the deals are aimed more at big spenders than penny pinchers like me... definitely no $80 plans in my future :)

Also confirmed that the 2GB bonus and $200 port credit only apply to the Your Choice plans and not these Big Gig plans www.telus.com/corporatevip

So is there any point in waiting until Black Friday? Or these deals are it?

I think the minimum price for a plan is $66.50 which is unlimited local ($49) and 1 GB + 2 GB bonus data ($17.50) and the Samsung Galaxy s9 on premium smartphone plan. That is for BC which I am in.

I'm gonna wait until Wednesday to pull the trigger since Tuesday is when the carriers seem to be unveiling their deals, but I'm not that optimistic. I think this might be it.

Maybe it varies by province? In MB I see it coming up as $200/$350/$550 for upgrades depending on plan type.

Smartcell is now showing $400 port-in credit from Nov 19th to 26th. 2GB data bonus is still there. It's being promoted as a Black Friday deal, so doubtful we'll see anything better.
