Telus was downtown Toronto yesterday promoting:
telus.com/BF2018

Entered my work email and got offers from smartcell. Not sure if they were anything different than discussed here.
I just did this. Received an offer for Optik TV that doesn't interest me, and the "exclusive Black Friday offer" for wireless is: "Get the new iPhone XR for $0 upfront, available exclusively on the 8GB Big Data plan for only $80/month. Hurry, this is a limited time offer!"

Seems okay if you want the iPhone XR. Not what I'm looking for, but who knows what might show up tomorrow.

That would be for the XR 64GB and under the "Bring it Back" program. That's how they are offering it for $0.

As I mentioned earlier - the XR 256GB is $200 under BIB or $400 under the 8GB/$80 plan.

Yes, you need a government email. The title of this thread is "Canada-Wide Corporate Cell Plan for Govt Employees" so I think it's implied that you need to be a government employee.
I just realized after all this time that the title of the thread for "Gov't employees", lol. I just assumed it was for corporate plans. I know that through smartcell you can type in the password RBC, Purolator and Ford it will get you to the corporate plans. Maybe this thread should be renamed Telus EPP cell plans.

https://evs.telus.com/evs?campaign_id=a ... 0003826947 You don't need a company issued email but you definitely need proof you work with the company.

Prices have jumped back up... somehow it is reassuring to know that the black Friday deal really was a deal ;)

While the thought of a new iphone was attractive, I ended up going with Zoomer at $36/month for 4gb, 400 daytime mins, unltd nights wkends, unltd msging. He is fine with his current iphone, and got a free LG G5 that I am going to sell. His girlfriend ended up switching too and with the referral, each got $50 account credit.

In 6 months, I can call Zoomer's loyalty and they will bump it up to 5gb, which is more than enough for him since he has access to wifi most times. $36 will be grandfathered after the 2 years unless he changes his plan somehow. Pretty good frickin deal considering it is a budget carrier but uses Rogers network. Frankly, never thought I would find something to beat my former Rogers Corp 350 plan at $50 for 5gb.

Yes the phone prices have gone back up. At least the plans haven’t for now. Looks like Christmas time is going to be the next deals.

6Gb + 6Gb bonus, extra plan, $55.30+ taxes per month with EPP ($79 before 30% rebate)

(It’s $0 on extra+ plans, but you pay $7 more per month for 24 months so it’s cheaper on Extra)

$100 for iPhone XR 64GB makes it $960 subsidy over 24 months, so $40 per month.

Plan is $55.30... nice subsidy Thumbs Up Sign

Found this online

iPhone XR 256gb: $0 with platinum plan (Business)

Platinum plan: $105
10 gig plan (5+5), unlimited nationwide calling, unlimited text

No info yet on a port credit, calling them in few hours to ask

What do you guys think? Currently with virgin mobile doing $75 BYOD for 10 gig data. The 30 dollar difference makes this phone $720 - savings of 519 dollars based on $1239 phone

*Edit: port two lines and get $300 porting credits per each line

This deal is set to change EOD Jan 7

does anyone know how i can change the plans mid-term?
I was able to do this myself online when I used to be with Rogers/fido but Telus site doesn't seem to have any options.
The customer rep also says I'm locked into corporate plan (just a normal in market plan - 30% off) so that I can't change until the term is over. This seems like a bullshit excuse to me.
Anybody have success in changing their plan mid-term?

I'm think that you can change your plan anytime, as long as you're spending the minimum amount which I want to say is at least $70?

I pay $80.50 right now for Canada/US and 1 GB + 4 GB bonus. I believe I can go to nationwide which would make it $10.50 cheaper.

Yeah i read off that exact line to the rep and he said he couldn't do anything and I have no option for it online. :(
I guess next time there's a deal I will file a ccts complaint to let me change the plan.
