[Telus] Telus home phone loyalty and retention plan (west)

Call the telus loyalty and retention number: 1-866-429-8144 (Number is not listed in telus website but google yields http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-866-429-8144)

What I currently have is:
local line: $27.06
call waiting: $5.95
total: $33.13

Bundle I was offered (for long term customer in good standing):
local line + call display $22.xx
local line + call display + call waiting + international call (3 cents to hong kong + china) $29.xx

Promotion expires in 1 year.

The telus rep encouraged me to call them once in a while to see what promotion they have to make sure I am happy with my service. I did not threatened to leave telus, I just told the rep I had a friend who got their local line $16.99 per month and if I can sign up for that too.

I think it depends a lot on who you get on the phone.

I called their retention number in the original post, but got nothing. Later in the day, I called their main line 310-2255 and managed to get the same deal as the OP after threatening to switch to Shaw.

Good luck

i was offered $22/mo + any 1 option (caller id, call waiting, voicemail etc) when i inquired about the cheap high speed internet deal...

very annoying they couldn't sell me internet because there weren't any ports available....not the first time telus told me this either...

btw...has anyone noticed that telus always plays the same very annoying country song when one is placed on hold? i've called them 3 times in the last few months and each time i was forced to listen to the same crappy song...

I was paying Primus similar to OP and called them and explained that if they were able to give me that deal I would sign up. I was on the phone with them in all about 15 minutes and my line will be transferred shortly.

For your international call package, are you referring to the new "Call Asia Unlimited" for $7.95/month, which give you unlimited calls to HK/China/Taiwan/Singapore. If you are not getting this deal, call back and ask them about it. :)

Due to another post RE: TELUS internet, I called today to ask for a lower internet plan than I had (Extreme).

They offered me: unlimited NA long distance, 1000 free minutes/month to a specific Asian country (and 50 other countries but landline only), 6 free phone features and a $25 Extreme internet (this item with a 1-year contract) for $85.

For those who call a lot overseas, it might be interesting. For me, it shaved nearly half my monthly bill. I was told it was a "special offer".

Cheers

The 18772793100 number is for cell phone only. Does anyone have the home phone number for retention? I hate calling their regular number (the one on your bill) and then waiting for a LONG time. Thanks.
