i just ordered it i have a 4s but been meaning to try a android device for a while especially the pure google ones. tried an xperia arc s, too many problems upgrading etc. the nexus devices seem smooth.
One question from those who have used telus "refreshed" phones before or have received theirs. are these refurbs that have been returned within 30 days return period? or are these fully used phones that maybe people have traded in throguh the telus trade-in program i jsut saw on the website? if refurb thn im sure its good quality. if used then maybe they have scratches etc?
lastly do they come with box or just the phone by itself in an envolope kindof thing?

Sigh.
Saw this deal 5minutes after it was posted, I was going to holdoff but found a teamstore login code and couldn't resist at $127. Got a white one for the wife today. She is currently using a xperia ray that she got for free thru my corporate employee plan with Telus. The ray is a good phone but the screen is a little too small. Will keep the ray as a backup phone for the both of us. I'll report back once I get the phone in regards to packaging, condition, battery etc.
Btw can I update to ICS right out of the box or do I have to pop in a sim first?

Two comments on Mobilesyrup said no SIM was required for the update.

From what I gather, CM9 is pretty slick on it. Anybody verify they're running CM9 on it?
I'm so weak - damn you RFD!!!! I bought 2.Last edited by jnmontario; Jul 22nd, 2012 at 07:56 AM.

I've had this phone for about 6 months now and I just bought one for the wife. CM9 runs really well on it. I just upgraded to Jelly Bean a few days ago and it's a lot smoother! Check out XDA for custom ROMs:

I'm running "Jelly Belly" and it has awesome performance and battery life. Unofficial CM10 builds have just started pouring out and official ones will be on the way soon.

Out of curiosity, are you updating your ROMs via. Rom Manager? If so - how does this work without having a memory expansion slot? I know that with my Desire, it's pretty damn easy, just save the ROM to the SD card, then reboot and apply, but with no SD slot....
tia.
