Realistically, that's just going to slow down the competition. I think the 10 feet is just one rule you can't mess with ... you want to show height, elevate above the net and we'll see it.

My complaint is how Vince and Kobe are on the side rating this ... so what, if someone does a 360 Vince is only going to give it a 8 because "I already did it" ... I don't know what they're using PLAYING players, they should use old timers as refs.

Here's a new rule. The fans get to vote in 1 player into the dunk competiton. I think that'd get a lot of press and a lot of people interested in the show, if they could vote in an existing player (who wants to participate mind you) ...

Like Vince, if he got voted in, I don't think he'd participate.

I agree with the NBA on this one. You can't change the rules to suit yourself.

Dwight should come up with something more creative than raising the rim. The dunks he planned to do have already been done before in the past. Wow you want to do it with the rim higher. You're also 6'11. Come up with some new dunks at the standard height. Not everything has been done before in a dunk contest. Let's see a 720. It's never been done before in the NBA. Put the ball between your legs and jump from the free throw line. Also never been done in the dunk off. If he's really that athletic let's see him try some of those with the rim set at 10 feet. I understand that Dwight wants to do something new and different and kudos to him. He's thinking in the right direction.

Anyways I disagree with the NBA as well. If they're gonna put on a dunk contest without the best dunkers in the NBA then they shouldn't be as strict with the rules if a player decides to be creative.
