Any thoughts of how the HVAC works on the Telsa 3? Found this post the other day which is one of the few videos showing how to control the air ventilation. Really hope that it's controllable from the thumb knobs on the steering wheel because it's going to be hard to do it while driving.

There are lots of videos showing the HVAC system. It will not be controllable from the steering wheel and from what people who have used it, it's very simple and easy to use. The wheel thumb knobs will be for the side mirrors and the steering wheel (telescoping and tilting)

Everything will be done via the 15" screen, so if you want one, you better get used to using it. Face With Tears Of Joy

HVAC is controlled only via the 15" screen. The 2 scroll balls on the steering wheel control the tilt and telescopic action for the steering wheel

Tesla has launched their 27th Supercharger station in Canada, located in Edmonton, Alberta. The new station is located at Southgate Centre (5015 111 St NW) and has 8 Superchargers on site, available 24/7.

The chargers are located on parking level two, and have been in operation since August 11, 2017, according to Southgate Centre.

Is that all the two scroll balls do? That kinda sucks with just the touch display for everything else.

I think they do more than just adjust the tilt and such for the steering wheel. I think they can control certain things on the screen as well. Feel like I heard someone on a tech podcast describing it who had gotten a chance to test drive the 3.

All this secrecy behind the Model 3 and the specs is really getting ridiculous.

The thumb wheels work great on our Tesla Model S.
They can be selected to control : climate temp, fan speed, music volume, sunroof position, phone controls, etc, there are videos online to demonstrate.
Plus Model S has buttons beside the wheels for music selection, audio controls, phone, etc.

Model 3 is almost certain to have similar flexibility, and even more.
As for secrecy, they are not advertising or otherwise driving eyeballs to buy more Model 3, they are sold out to 2019.

At this time, all we've seen is the scroll balls control the steering wheel and the side mirrors. With software updates, it's a good bet they'll do more.

If Tesla were so inclined they could rewrite the scroll balls to play Tetris Smiling Face With Sunglasses
Maybe for an easter egg.

Tesla announced that it has increased the capacity of its Hope, B.C., Supercharger station, adding four more stalls, bringing the total capacity to 10.

The location is at 830-840 Fraser Ave (across from the Hope Motor Motel), in Hope, a popular rest stop for travellers heading to and from the province’s interior.
