Says nothing about me.

I have a Costco capital one credit card with a $4K limit

I have two credit cards with $20K plus limits each

I have numerous other credit cards with $5K + limits

Credit score 750+
No debt
Never late on payments
No interest ever paid
Stable government income

There’s no reason for them to keep denying me an increase

I bought the card strictly to use it at the bay and I can barely buy anything there with it

I guess I have to create an artificial credit limit by overpaying the card if I really want to use it for a big purchase
Well, you just said you have more than $50k credit card debt available to you.

Yes, you have $0 (according to you) outstanding. But that's a high amount available to you.

I have heard that companies like to give those who pay interest higher limits, but with so much available to you already, I am not sure they would if you played that game. (I think it is dumb to pay interest to get a higher limit.)

Having 2 $20k+ credit doesn't necessarily mean you are low risk. It may just mean whoever offer you the credit sucks at risk valuations. Or perhaps you bank with them, meaning they know more about you than other FIs.

No debt is not always good for your credit. Having a student loan with no late payment is better than no student loan. Same thing for mortgages.

Never paying interest does not help you in risk assessment. It may hurt you in profitability valuations though.

Income plays no role in line assignment or risk assessment, unless your credit card is from a bank which sees your pay stubs.

$400 is an odd credit line. When did you get your card? Did you apply for the MasterCard or the private label card?

Any on-line code for this?...the flyer says "details on page 4" but there is no information on page 4. I've got a bunch of stuff in my cart and want to check out as soon as this goes live.

Based on what codes that were used last year, the most obvious promo code should be EXTRA15 and it should be active in a little over 12 hours @ 00:01 EST tonight/tomorrow morning. Full details will be posted when available.

Check here for full details, when they are published.

I would add auto loans as well to that. I have some small experience with auto loans & dealing with auto finance centers & strangely enough, its actually better to have bad credit (within reason ofcos) than to have no credit aka "a ghost".

I've seen some peeps with really bad credit (4xx beacon score) get bought on an auto loan, albeit at a much higher interest ...as high as 30% in my limited experience, while the 'ghost' needs a co-signer or a very large downpayment.

end of the day, the motto is - get established with & properly maintain some sort of a credit tradeline ASAP even if its just a secured CC. no credit is likely worse than having bad credit

Time to shop with promo code 15OFF --- see post dated January 13th.

Friday's flyer now online in preview. Look for new everyday low prices on matresses, no more inflated prices that require a 60-70% discount. Is the pricing strategy on luggage and cookware due for changes next?
