[The Source] Apple Airpods $209

The Source has Apple Airpods on sale for $209.99. The original price is $219.99, so not a crazy discount, but these things rarely go on sale.

Online availability is "sold out", but it's still available for in-store pick up at most locations. You can also pricematch BestBuy for an additional ~$1 savings.

Doesn't bestbuy match and beat by 10%? Wouldn't that be an additional ~$21 savings?

Note that a newer version is coming in 2018 with wireless charging for the airpower mat.

This isn't accurate. What's coming in 2018 is a standalone charging case that works with the airpower mat, the same airpods sold now are compatible with it.

I keep debating on these as a gift for my mother since she bounces between her iPhone and iPad a lot, and loves convenience. But $210 is still a hard pill to swallow.

Ya, I got them as a gift for someone else. They are supposed to be great, but I can’t justify the price for myself.

10% of the difference. Bestbuy discount from price matching would be = ($219.99 - $209.99) * 10%. It's not ($219.99 * 10%).

This is accurate - I price matched with BestBuy and the discount was ($219.99 - $209.99) * 10%.... so roughly ~$1.

I've owned these since launch...

Sound is nice and no wires is great. Still feel a bit funny wearing them and walking around, but that's easy to get over by not giving a ...... or wear a touque.

Switching between devices can be a bit challenging sometimes-- you still have to manually go into Bluetooth settings to pair or press the pairing button on the case. For example: I want to pair with my macbook but it defaults to my nearby iphone.

Usually get them emailed to me. You can check out the Staples Coupon thread in the on-going deals forum.

But in 2018, the AirPods will be sold with the new case - not the current one. So if you're interested in the AirPower mat and don't want to have to purchase a second case, it's probably worth waiting.

Surprised these weren’t even on sale during Black Friday or Cyber Monday. No “Employee” (of friendly company) discount either (aka Employee Purchase Program).

They had a hard time keeping them in stock initially. They don't need to discount them to sell.

I recently bought a pair of these and they respond really well to the iPhone's EQ settings.

Its quite expensive but worth it in my opinion. The sound is good and its really easy to pair up if you have apple devices. I wonder if psp still works here. I get this before for 175.99+tax
