don't know what your issues are but what Ideal told you was right, that they will not repair electrical components such as a radio. The radio is sent back to Honda who then sends it back to the original manufacturer (Alpine, Panasonic, etc.), in return a refurb radio is ordered by the dealer. If you're already outside of warranty and have a radio issue, the radio can be sent in for repair, takes a few weeks and costs about $300+
good luck in your search

Are there any reputable Honda service centres in the GTA?
Hey y'all I am currently looking for a decent repuatble Honda dealership service centre in the GTA. I have dealt with Service depts in Oak, Bramp & Miss...with the 3 dealer service centres in Miss being the worst. I have had nothing but problems with the Sauga' dealerships. I find that their service varys from each location. I have a fairly new vehice, yet I have some issues I need to get resolved before my warranty runs out.
Problems I have had in the past:
- having to bring my car in multipe times for the same problem
- inconsistent information from advisors
- horrible customer service
- messed up repair orders
- blatantly lied to from service people at Ready (oh yeah I should mention that they really suck & DON'T buy from them.)
update
I presently have a case w/ head office & wil post my feedback, once compleetd.
If anyone can refer me to a autoshop or service centre in the GTA that would be much appreciated.

Sisley for honda is really good.
But what exactly is your problem? if its an easy fix, might aswell do it your self, save downtime, time to driven to dealership, gas etc... if its a 2 dollar fix
Usually honda just takes the old deck out, replaces with new one. I never heard of them sending the unit out to be refurbed.
They probably have a few refurbs in stock so they just swap it.

Jun 15th, 2006 08:51 PM #5...I'm just having warranty issues with some noises coming from my door. I've primarily dealt with 2 Honda dealerships in Sauga sine its closer to my work. There is an issue that the should have fixed when a few months back & now thier giving me the run around since my warranty is almost up.

This is my biggest gripe with owning a Honda... the after sales service sucks. I've been to all of the dealers in sauga along with a couple in Toronto, and have yet to find a good one. After the second year, I haven't bothered taking it back to the dealer for any service/maintenance. Fortunately I haven't had to claim any warranty work, so my independent mechanic has been able to handle everything for a fair price.

I had good service at Roadsport Honda in scarborough. The service advisor didn't treat me like an idiot and actually discouraged me from purchasing unnecessary services!

I remember years ago (5+) I used to drive down Yonge Street to Finch Station. Everday for about 4 months, I'd see some guy picketing outside Sisley Honda warning people not to buy from there. I guess after the 4th month, either Sisley gave in or the guy caved.

Sorry to hear that you've had crappy service from Ideal.
I've been going to Ideal Honda for over 12 years now and they're always very good with my 2 Honda's. Of course you have to build good relations with the personnel - get to know the Service Manager, Advisors, etc.
Also, I refer people to them for new car sales. And it also helps to know the General Manager of the dealership.
Sure this might sound too good to be true, but remember I had to develop the relations from scratch and they also have to get to know the customer - me.
If you want to give Ideal another try talk to Brian Mitchell (service Advisor).
And NO I don't work for Ideal honda, just a satisfied client over the years.
Good luck._______________

dead to me...
...I've actually heard great things about Ideal as well, which is why I considered going to them. I know the problems I had aren't entirely reflective of the dealership just a few of the many bad apples I dealt with. I'll consdier giving Brain a call next time.
