is there something wrong with the AMD 64 Computers???
i purchased these computers
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...66&catid=20217
and
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...19&catid=20217
both of these amd computers kept on freezing at the windows xp loading screen.
i returned both of these and purchased this Intel PC. This intel works very good and did not freeze at Windows XP screen.

I noticed this PC ran smoother than the other two. Was there a problem with the AMD processor? I thought the 2 AMD computers were more powerful than this Intel version? Is there a problem with the AMD 64 Athlon chips??

I think all computers have trouble booting up and shutting down. But once u reformat, set up everything up properly and change some values in regedit, it works like a charm, no matter how slow, fast the computer is.

All three computer you choose using onboard video
This first two using NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE which is the lowest end on board video. For the last one you buy is Intel 3000GMA on board Video. It suppose better than the GeForce but the driver is no good 945G perform even better than it. HP's system allways use HIGH CPU Power and HIGH Memory to attract customer. If you want to upgrade to PCI-E video such as 7900GT or higher the power supply won't enough to handle it. The second comuter you feel fast is because the CPU is really good than the X2 Basic.
