Is there such thing as PAL/NTSC anymore?
I'm moving to the UK and I'm gonig to be selling my PS3 because of the power requirements 120v/240v, but I'm wondering if I need to sell my games too, or does it not matter anymore. I remember back in the day with PSX, there was a difference between PAL and NTSC, but to my knowledge HDMI is all the same resolution anyways...

I'm not sure about the ps3 but for the xbox 360 there is still region locks

Apr 12th, 2009 11:59 AM #6The one thing about the PS3 I don't like is that it won't play PAL dvd's. The 360 will. So any PAL disc thats region 0 (all regions) doesn't work. It's a shame. Originally Posted by supremekai

The newer 80GB/160GB PS3 are region free. Just look at this chart: (Look under the feature and you shall see NTSC or Pal or both)

PS2 and PS1 games (on discs) are still region locked.
