Theres a cat in my back yard! He wont leave.
Its been there all morning & afternoon!
whenever I open the door he tries to come in...
He has a collar with no tag. I wanna let him in since its cold... But i dont know this cat, and it might fight my cat! My cat has a history of hissing @ other cats he sees @ the vet and outside the window.
You think he's lost?

One Word: Cat Nip
Cats hate that stuff
Also put bowl of milk on the front of your lawn and the cat will find it.

I think you should flex your arm muscles to the cat. Maybe he will be your friend.

Let your dog out to play...the cat will either quickly leave or it'll kick the crap out of your dog.
In either case, record it and post it here on RFD.
Serious Note - Call Animal Control if the cat won't go away by tomorrow. I wouldn't worry about it being cold outside...cats have a lot of fur and if it was cold it wouldn't be out in the open in your backyard...it would try to find shelter.

Looks like Felix the cat!
its owner might be desparately looking for the cat. Try to find out who's the owner.
-Print out a bunch of notice with the cat's pic and description and your contact info
-stick it on mailboxes, lamppost, bulletin boards (wal-mart, loblaws have them i think), give some to your nearby vet/pet stores
-post it on the humane society web site

i'll give it a day. Im sure out door cats do this all the time... just hanging out @ random spots in the neighborhood.
then again... my neighbor has an out door cat... Sometimes i see 2 or 3 cats hanging out in my back yard. But never a black and white one!_______________
