Im curious, how do you spot brake issues when changing oil?
If you go to Mr Lube of course they will not do a brake check with an oil change. Many dealerships will do a basic brake inspection with an oil change service.

I'm due to get my car serviced (2013 Toyota Matrix) and got a quote from the dealer mechanic and got these prices:

Front Brake Service: $84.00
Rear Brake Service: $118.00
Brake Fluid Flush: $139.99
Throttle Body Service: $149.99

Are these the prices too expensive?
I have the 2010 version of your car. I have done none of the above except rear pads and rotors. Cost for that was $275 all in, parts labour taxes. You don't need a brake fluid flush and you don't need throttle body service either. Back brakes are a weak point in these cars, they tend to seize since they hardly do any braking.

Either way, you're paying for it. If you really believe it's not necessary, ask them to skip it and save the 10 minutes of labour.

Don't confuse the word "service" with the word "replace".

Literally, it's going to be about $10 of cleaner and grease, and they're going to charge you $500+++.

Run!

If you go to indy shops, who to say the the manufacture (in my case Honda) won't deny a warranty claim? If I keep my service records for the duration of the warranty can they still deny any claims that may come up later? Is digital records sufficient? Really eaasy to scan and upload to google drive rather than keep physical hard copies.

None of those services are EVER required by ANY manufacturer within any existing warranty period.

I would get your car serviced however not at the dealer.

Get the brakes serviced as it can prolong the life of your calipers/brakes.
Brake fluid should also be done regularly. I think my costs are around 2-3 years (use OEM fluid)

Throttle body service you can do yourself, lots of videos online such as this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41yFXjibtLY

How does that change anything.
Are stealership's prices dependent on mileage too ?

It will determine if any brake service is needed or not. If OP clocks 50k+ km in 2 years, he doesnt need any brake service. He needs brake pad replacement which they will clean and grease the brake at the same time. However with a less driven car, you should clean and gease the brake since they may sezie. For brake fluid flush, i will follow the manual.

Just light your money on fire.

I have a 08 vibe up to almost 400,000k without any extra "servicing." Car still runs phenomenally. Just replace the brakes when the car needs it.
