One of the best 3rd party firmware for Linksys WRT54G/GS/GL and WRTSL54GS
http://www.thibor.co.uk
Changelog
15c
* Fixed Access Restrictions screwing with ipaddr and macaddr blocking.
* Added bf1942, battlefield2, CounterStrike, CS:Source and MSN File Transfers to Applications list in QoS.asp.
* Made menu lists grey in QoS.asp
* Made text boxes in DMZ.asp larger.
15b3
* Fixed DDNS....yet again, pptp fix broke it.
* integrated changes to DMZ.asp I've been working on.
15b2
* Fixed Zoneedit.
* Fixed PPTP not giving correct IP to DDNS.

* Fixed Large file transfer issue for Gv2.2 type. enter "nvram set cpu_overdrive=1;nvram_commit" in the command page, or via Telnet/SSH.

15a
* Fixed Reboot command not working. a busybox issue.

* Updated Log page.
* Updated HRedirect.asp to reflect it's redirect, not forwarding.
* Added Service Type for PPPoE.
* Fixed Dial On Demand bug, P2P QoS was the cause; i've removed it for now.
* Fixed Incorrect UPnP IGD Name.

I managed to find a v3 WRT54G the other day, so now the question is which 3rd party firmware is the best?
From http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.p...howpage&pid=31 it looks like
DDWRT v23b OR Talisman v1.05 is the best.
Edit: I download torrents 24/7 so that's my primary concern. With the v5 I had pages that were getting hung up loading (like ebay.com) which annoyed me to no end (yes I changed MTU to 1500 since I have a 7mbps shaw cable connection). I went back to my Microsoft MN-700 where no such problem occurs.

15b has now been released. It's either HyperWRT or stock firmware for me.

No wonder I couldn't download 15a earlier.
If you are happy with 14, you would wait for another week or two. Carl didn't check out all the bugs before the release

I'll wait til they have 1-2 more revisions that really try to fix the bugs. That's coming.

Can anyone tell me how this can be done? I downloaded the file, and when trying to apply the firmware, it errors out.
