Most of these I knew. It all comes down to a better designed phone for me.

Apple Marketing Exec: “… we invented a whole new category. The foundation of what made these products so successful is iOS. And with iOS 5 we’ve taken an operating system that was already years ahead and we’ve added over 200 new features to it moves it even further ahead”.

Well this is just the usual camp arguments and..oh well ill bite. IOS is years ahead until google figures out how to let manufacturers optimize android for their own devices just like WP7, instead of just putting it on steroids. Infact IMO as long as google remains involved it will be behind. I don't like google's intrusion on my phone. Infact i would prefer someone load symbian^3 with opera on sgs2. Its still my OS of choice until Nokia stopped putting better hardware compared to competition.
Apple is suing samsung because their UI is so close to an iOS UI. Everyone even on samsung forums acknowledges that. Infact if i remember, on the GT-i9000 forums once the "samsung sucks so much it feels like i am carrying an iPhone 3gs by looking at it and people keep asking me if it is a new iPhone" was a daily whine thread until its death.
I will give you that Apple is over sensitive. But as a consumer APple also gives me something better. What am i to do? Go with something its creator doesnt care about how it affects my overall usage or something its creator feels confident in that will serve me well?
I am actually disgusted at Nokia for killing symbian with lots of potential and not giving meego a full throttle. And hp for doing snail pace hardware improvements to a webos device. Both are better alternatives to android IMO and both companies are choking awesome OSes by putting them on crap hardware repeatedly.Last edited by jetfirex2; Jun 15th, 2011 at 02:01 PM.

Until they figure out how to let... what? Android is open source. ANYBODY can do ANYTHING and optimize it HOW EVER THEY LIKE for WHATEVER THEY LIKE. It's up to the manufacturers to optimize it. Some companies do a good job, like HTC and Samsung lately. Some suck, like Motorola and LG. The whole point of Android originally was to make an open source OS that can turn into whatever Devs can make it into.
Intrusion? How exactly are they intruding? You must be referring to how the GPS tracks and records your location.... no wait, that was Apple. You must be referring to how you can disable any Google app you want. No, that doesn't work. I'm confused, in what way exactly does GOogle intrude? And in what world do you live in that Apple does not intrude. iOS is as locked down as Fort Knox. Nothing goes in or out without their approval. They strategically ban specific apps too for competitive reasons. Google doesn't "intrude" like that.Infact IMO as long as google remains involved it will be behind. I don't like google's intrusion on my phone.
Your opinion and you're welcome to it.Infact i would prefer someone load symbian^3 with opera on sgs2. Its still my OS of choice until Nokia stopped putting better hardware compared to competition.
I won't argue that. The basic concept of swipable homepages is pretty similar. That's about it though.Apple is suing samsung because their UI is so close to an iOS UI.
Since you at least pretend that you tried something different, I won't tear you up for it.I will give you that Apple is over sensitive. But as a consumer Apple also gives me something better. What am i to do? Go with something its creator doesnt care about how it affects my overall usage or something its creator feels confident in that will serve me well?
I have nothing against iphone users if they genuinly believe iphones give them the best option. Apple fanboys who are ignorant to all other systems and only love their iphone because it's an iphone piss me off. I hope you are the former, rather than the latter.
I hate apple, not because they make poor devices, but because of the things they do. They are the biggest hypocrites, and the scream foul when someone does something similar to them what they've been doing to other companies since the 90's._______________

lol. i am trying hard to sell my android phone but the damn thing wont sell and its been two weeks. i have sold two ip4s and didnt even take a day. anyways, my rant aside i am not pretending.
how i am an apple fanboy when i prefer other oses is beyond me. i jist stated right now a jailbroken ip4 gives me mkre than a custom rommed android. simple. none of the closedness has affected my enjoymebt of the iphone. but i wanted bogger screen. unfortunately android fails to keep me interested. especially its abysmal batfery life.
oh and samsung just powered the same gb code on super monster specs. brute foce method of running an unoptimized os lol. their laziness is evident from the fact that tgey still havent nailed amazing battery lofe on the new monster.
anyways, i like the new ios features and welcome them.

Nokia did put all its effots behind Meego. The CTO told Elop in late 2010 that at the rate of development, Nokia would roll out one Meego phone before 2012 and maybe 3 or 4 before 2014. This is when they realize they need another OS.
It all comes down to poor management. With 6,000 engineers, it's amazing how Nokia can't pull themselves up._______________
let the good times roll~
