Default Thinking about Q5 GLK and X3 opinions please

    Currently thinkin of getting,
2009 Q5 3.2 Premium with Navigation, technology and S-line package
    2010 GLK350 full spec
2009 X3 xDrive 3.0i (would go for the 3.0si but I don't see it on their site. Is it still avaliable?)

I priced them online and the Q5 came out around 56500, GLK350 is around 53500, and X3 is around 5600. What do you guys think about the 3 cars?? As well, does anybody have CCC reports for Q5 and X3? I believe that the GLK350 report is on one of the threads. If you guys dont mind I would greatly appreciate it if anybody can post it.

What kinds of incentives are out there for these cars in Vancouver?

Thanks a lot for you guy's help!

I'm actually surprised the audi sales rep has not posted here bashing the other two makes. I suggest driving the three different makes and see and see which one suits you. There will obviously be bias here. Read the reviews and most importantly, get yourself into the three in question.

Which one did you prefer when you testdrove them? That should answer your question because price wise they are pretty much the same.

Simply drive them, you'll be able to judge for yourself. Never mind what anyone says. Read the articles I told you about in the other thread.
    Good luck!

Simply drive all 3 of them and either X3 or Q5 should come out on top of the GLK350. GLK350 is a disappointment just like the B class.

At that price range, I'd go with the MDX or RX or a fully loaded venza

Based on the 3 that the OP has in his shortlist, I think he already has criteria about steering response, road manners and braking performance.

In the July '09 Car&Driver Comparo the Q5 wins and the X3 is in second place.
Close contest - e.g., Q5 has slightly better roadholding, X3 slightly better braking.

Not sure if this link is useful:

For some people it might come down to which cockpit fits you better or seems just right in terms of comfort, gadgetry, sytling, etc.

Sounds to me that the GLK350 is interesting at the price, but has driver feel more akin to the RDX or RX350.

HEY, don't bash MB, some people are very sensitive and don't like that. LOL!

by far the best build quality (although the new x3 has come far from it's ugly roots)

my vote goes to GLK350. the steering is a little light though. But it is well equipped for about $46K-48K at my local dealer, so it wins on price by a big margin. It is certainly superior to the dated looking X3. BMW is rushing a new X3 later this year (ahead of schedule) because of the new threats. Again, the best advice is to test drive all three.

PS: If someone wants the Volvo, I think they can opt for volvo's european delivery and get a free roundtrip ticket to sweden + 1 night hotel. Get a tour of the factory, drive around europe in your own volvo and later drop it off at one of the many cities. the vehicle will get shipped back to your home dealer after a few weeks. BMW/MB have the same program, but no free tickets etc (i.e. no financial gain/loss).
