had experience with debian and suse
for a noob ..suse is definitely easier to install
although Debian isnt too bad
I've tried Red Hat, Mandrakes, SuSE, Debian, Gentoo
My fav still SuSE. I really couldn't careless about the tiniest detail ...so I like it to work right out of the box with no hassle.
