It is a knock against them but Kevin Feige has stated that the focus is on developing the heroes. This is why I say this initial trailer deviates and appears to lead to a great villain.uber_shnitz wrote: ↑ Mind you, given all the stories they pump out, it was bound to happen and most are one-off villains for the movie they're in, but it doesn't change the fact that a lot of the villains are fairly weak and forgettable. One common element most of the less successful Marvel movies had was uncompelling and forgettable villains.

True but one could argue a hero is only as great as the villains he/she faces. Batman without Joker wouldn't be the same. Like I said, it's to be expected given how many movies they pump out and most villains shown in those movies are never meant to reach "arch nemesis" status, but it still contributes to an overall worse story.thechampion116 wrote: ↑ It is a knock against them but Kevin Feige has stated that the focus is on developing the heroes. THR has done a deep dive on all the times Mjolnir has been destroyed in the comics.thechampion116 wrote: ↑ In one shot in a trailer, Marvel has already shown that this villain is something different. She clearly destroys Asgard and also destroys Mjolnir. Mjolnir throughout all the movies with Thor has been shown to be the ultimate weapon and in one second she destroys it.

It's definitely happened in the comics multiple times but in the movies it will be just one that we know of.tk1000 wrote: ↑ THR has done a deep dive on all the times Mjolnir has been destroyed in the comics.
