For those on UofT Res

How do you overcome the filters they have when you download mp3s and movies and sorts? (or is something wrong with my comp?)

Seems all my media downloads end up stopping at like 9# %.

GTA
You don't, most people in res I know use DC++ and transfer over the local LAN. This way you won't use up your bandwidth limit either :D

You're itching to download something aren't you? I saw you on another tread with the exact same topic.

most of us that live in rez just live with the limitations.

so what if BT doesnt work during the day. just leave it on at night. Theres nothing u cant get from rez sharing u can get from BT, except the latest episodes of such and such, which are not big downloads anyways (200MB per half hour of TV content roughly)

i started my Initial D eps 17 download last nite, and it was done this morning.

there's a 1 gig per day limit i believe also, so they're just all around nazing you guys on internet. What i suggest is if you really need a barebone internet and have a landline in your res, y not get sympatico for your res, lots of my friends have done that although they are in waterloo, I dunno if UT allows that though
