We've all done it, just that most of us have never been ticketed for it.

In all honesty, you got caught and perhaps the park was not the great place for it as a deserted road may be (not sure that exists in Vancouver). If you google this type of thing, you will find many instances and arguments that have got people off.
As for the old people, they not getting it so why ruin it for those who can and do get it?

Exactly, eventhough Im not sure if it was them who reported us. There is hardly any deserted roads here and it was past midnight on a weekday so I didnt felt like going back to my house and then coming all the way back to drop her home on the other side of city, I live in Burnaby and her home was in West Vancouver.
Anyways Im pretty sure thousands of people have done this before, its not like Im the first one, I just got the wrong guy who refused to let me go without a ticket. We wasnt loud, and we wasnt nude either and wasnt bothering anybody, and infact nobody was around it was an empty parking lot near the sea wall.

I already disputed it yesterday, its now wait and watch. I dont even think my insurance will be affected since I wasn't drinking or driving and didn't get involved in any fender bender etc.

I've done "it" in the back of my old car back in the day in the parking lot at U of Waterloo gym building, or excercise building, whatever... their security guard saw us and stared me down as I drove torwards him where the gate is that lets you out. I just smiled and waved good bye to him.

depends which type though. parking tickets do not effect. but not having license on you or expired sticker or loud exhaust does effect insurance.

Lol nice thread. Where in stanley park were you? I parked at prospect point once and fooled around with a girl for well over an hour and no cops came by. I sometimes wonder if theres any real cops out there. Ones interested in ticketing criminals. Not people who are just having a bit of fun, not hurting, disturbing or harming anybody. Freedom still exsists, you just end up paying $2000ish a year in fines for it

Its a risk you are willing to take for doing such things in public. Mind you rape still happens and police have to check if everything is okay.
I LOVE busting people in this situation.

Of course you were PARKED... you know it, the chick you were with knows it and of course the cop knew it! You were in a PARKING SPOT!
I don't know why you are so paranoid about someone calling you in to the cops! It's stanley park, one way in, one way out. The cops cruise that road ALL NIGHT LONG! So he saw your car, turned on his lights for safety, got out to write a parking violation and found you two love birds in the back seat.
You got caught, pay the fine and move on AKA... find a better place to make out with chicks! Fighting the ticket will cost you more in the long run (missed pay, travel to/from court etc).

I'm sure if you REALLY do your homework, you'll find that the cops actually catch a large amount of HARD criminals during traffic stops. So quit your bitching, if you think you have it so hard here in Canada why not move to Russia or some other 'hard' country. - and by that I mean the cops are a lot harder to deal with.....

Im not fighting to save money, Im fighting on the matter of principle. Its not about why he gave us the ticket, its about "how".
