Q Timex Reissue Back In Stock $229

Okay not necessary a "hot" deal but this watch sold out instantly the first release and it's finally back in stock.
Obviously not everyone's cup of tea, but for those who were waiting for one and unwilling to pay flippers, get one while you can.

Edit: Welp, and just like that it's sold out.

I like the red, white, and blue, but it doesn't scream sophisticated capitalist. Others might fancy it.

I love it but I already have a pepsi SKX009... Very similar looking watch but mechanical and a little less '70s.

Reviews for this one mention easily scratched acrylic crystal.

The Bay had it in stock a few weeks ago and it sold out in a heart beat. Depending on timing of The Bay promos and coupon codes, you could get a pretty good deal when it comes back in stock there, like the Timex Marlin.

Nope. Doesn't work. Timex disabled the coupon from working with this just like they did with the Snoopy Marlin.

Who the hell spends this much on a quartz Timex?

Timex has been putting out decent pieces lately. This being one of them. It looks nice and has that 70's vibe. Obviously modelled after the Rolex GMT-Master. Check it out in person, you'll be surprised.

Sold out. Can anyone confirm that coupons are disabled on this specific watch? I get 40% off sitewide, would be great if this was included when it came back in stock...

the 15% one didn't work, so I highly doubt a 40% one will. This seems to be the case with their high demand stuff. Like I said before, the snoopy Marlin was the same scenario. Was available for a day but coupons were not working on it.

I didn't think it was going to sell out so fast this time around.

P.S. The Bay has $75 off $225 and also 20% off using coupon code: "GIVE"

The Timex Q is sold out but you can get the Timex Marlins pretty cheap now.

Mechanical Marlin Black Leather Strap Watch
- $171.20 after discount/coupon
Marlin Hand-Wind Stainless Steel Mesh Bracelet Watch - $179.20 after discount/coupon
Marlin Automatic Stainless Steel & Leather Strap - $179.20 after discount/coupon

More like who the hell buys a watch these days when everyone carries a smartphone.
Anyone who understands telling time isn't the only function of a watch. They can be utilitarian (smartwatch) or aesthetic. The aesthetic (or nostalgic, or emotional, or whatever) value is pretty questionable though, despite the Hodinkee hype train. It's a literally uninspired rehash of a quartz watch - $10 in materials, not a product of significant craftsmanship, doesn't connote good taste with its pedigree, barely any better than junk you would buy from Fossil.

I'd rather own something with a contemporary movement or a nicely designed Seiko for the same price. But to each his own.

Will the back feel weird because of the way the battery cover is designed?
