Tips for OC'ing a E2160
Hey Everyone, I finallly pulled the trigger and bought a new comp:
Intel E2160
Ninja Scythe HSF
Gigabyte GA-P35-D3S
2 x 1gb of Patriot Signature 6400 DDR Ram
ATI X1950 Pro 256mb
Antec Sonata III /w 500W PSU
WD 500GB SATAII HD
LG GSA-H62L SATA Lightscribe DVDRW
2 x Cooler Master 120MM case fans
From what I've read, the E2160 is a great OC'er. I upgrade my comp so that I can play SC2; which some would say is a bit premature, since the SC2 requirements aren't even out yet. But based on the price of comp parts these days it seemed worth it to try out the E2160.
I was wondering what people have OC'd this cpu to? Any tips for OC? I haven't OC in awhile.
This review indicates that 3.2 - 3.4 is reasonable:

I stopped at 3.0ghz clean, 8x375. Summer temps didn't let me push much higher. Temps approached 60c on full load (intel TAT). Some may not like using TAT but it produced higher temps than Orthos or any other app did. I like to think in worst case scenario for cooling.
I don't know if the P35 board has the same thing but I had to keep the MCH/ICH cool by adding cooling to them (fan on mch, zalman nb-47j on ich since mine did not come with one).

What kind of mobo were you using?
I'm hoping to at least hit 3.2.

You can, but you might need extra voltage, all depends on your chip. I didn't want to do that in the summer just because of temperatures.
I used an XFX 650i Ultra, same as an nvidia reference board.
