Tire deals at Costco - Oct 4 to Nov 7
In the Sep/Oct issue of the Costco Connection magazine, there are separate ads for "Fall Promotion" for various tire manufacturers. Each of the ads says "From October 4 to November 7, 2004. Ask for details at the Tire Centre"
There are ads for Michelin, Bridgestone, BF Goodrich, and Uniroyal...looks like just about all of their brands are covered.

I think I received it because I'm an Executive Member...it came with a set of coupons also, which I had already received (they've been posted on RFD in another thread). I upgraded to Executive Membership only a few months ago after being a Gold Star member for a few years, and this is the first magazine I've been mailed.
You can also pick up the magazine at most Costco locations near the exits.

Their tire deals in the past have been $10 off per tire or sometimes $50 off per 4 tires...so I would expect the same this time around. I haven't called to ask, though.

Just got back from Costco.
The deal is $32 - $60 off for a set of 4 tires. The deal ranges because it depends on the brand and size of tires you're purchasing.
I did notice that 13" and 14" tires were at the lower discount and the 15" tire were in the middle. 16"> tires had the highest discount.

tire deals - elsewhere?
I rec'd that magazine earlier and I"m not an exec member, although a business member. Their tire prices are pretty good, BUT i've found that some other brands tend to be cheaper and just as good of a tire.
For example, I just bought winter tires. I ended up at OK Tire (oktire.com)
The review on the Kumho Izen's was one of the best reviews (consumerreports.org) and it's only $83 installed/balanced. Most tires at costco were at least $130+inst/bal.
Check around... and check the reviews.
BTW, rims at Costco (steel rims) were the cheapest anywhere I've seen

Really? Wow!!! I didn't know. I called Canadian Tire last year when I was thinking about getting a set of steelies and they quoted me $15/each.
Anyway, I already order a set of BFGoodrich Traction T/A. They are in back order. I check Tirerack.com and it has very good reviews as all-season tires.
BTW, I don't think Costco sells Kumho tires though. So... it is not a good idea to compare it that way. I have been shopping around, and Costco offer the best deal on tires. The BFGoodrich I am getting is ~$139/each, including installation, lifetime balance/roataion. The best price I saw so far online is 1010tires.com which is ~$139 each, and I still have to pay shipping, installation...

Never bought winter tires and plan to do so this year.
I plan on getting steelies from Costco as well.. should I be heading over and getting them now (if they have em in stock?) and going back to Costco when it starts snowing?
I wonder where I can store them heh
