Tire Rotation
Hopefully this doesn't sound like too dumb of a question :P
Anyway just wanted to know if, using only one jack, it's possible to properly rotate the tires.
The only method I can think of is this:
- lift passenger side
- switch front / rear tires
- lift driver side
- switch front/rear tires
- lift rear
- switch left/right tires
- lift front
- switch left/right tires
Lifting the left or right side shouldn't be an issue but lifting the front or rear might be I think.
The simple answer would be to get a second jack, but I'm just curious if using one jack is actually possible. That said, I really have no problem getting a second jack if it's not, lol.

Use the spare tire. You end up doing 5 changes but who needs an extra jack.

You can always use jack stands.
Use the hydraulic jack at the centre jack point of the car, and then place the jack stands at the side jack points. This is if you have jack stands.

Don't think you can switch sides!
I could be wrong, but I don't think you can switch sides with radial tires. Most are now directional, meaning that once they are on the rim you can't change sides without removing from rim and turing around. Check your tires for directional arrorws. All my cars run directional tires, but they are expensive tires so I don't know about OEM or less expensive. Any way I don't think you should change the sides. Best way is Driver side swap front to rear, Passenger side put spare on front, front on rear, rear to spare (assuming you have a full size spare). The passenger (curb) side takes more abuse than the drivers side usually, and right turns are tighter than left usually causing a bit more wear. Do this every 10K and you will double the life of your tires.
My two cents, hope it helps

+1. Always safer to use a pair of jack stands rather than the jack itself alone.
