Connection fee rebate after a few bills is confirmed by my rep, this weekend only. Like during back to school, it's not printed anywhere in the agreement, though.

I am going to add some phones to the list for consideration.

The Huawei P20 (not pro edition) is medium tab eligible. The phone part would cost $360+$35+tax less $300 PCO points ($150+100 bonus+50 for phone trade in). For ON, the net cost comes to $146.35 for a usable daily driver. Check out the phone specs here. Can't go wrong at this price for a phone with 128GB internal storage, 4GB ram, dual camera with OIS, android 9.

https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_p20-9107.php

The LG G7 one should go for the same price as the P20. It's specs are a little lesser than the P20, but nonetheless a solid option at this price level. I purchased the G7 one during boxing week on HUP at TMS. I only got $250 PCO points. I still think it was a solid deal at that price. For $50 less, it is lava hot.

https://www.gsmarena.com/lg_g7_one-9304.php

Yet another phone to add to the burner list is the LG G6. I can't recall whether the phone was medium or small tab. It is no longer showing on the Koodo site. If medium tab, it would come to $96.35 for ON customer. Small tab -$39.25. This is based on $350 PCO points ($200+100 bonus+50 phone trade in).

https://www.gsmarena.com/lg_g6-8466.php

The Samsung S8 is good buy for those who like Samsung. It would come to $196.35, based on medium tab and $250 PCO points, ON HST.

I think I picked out all the medium tab or less phones that would pair well with the bonus PCO points weekend.

P20 pro (black) base offer is 150k. Making the total available offer up to 300k with bonus and trade in. I think this is the best deal on p20 pro yet?

The way you stated the referral may confuse people into thinking it's a credit towards the tab, and needs clarification. The referral credit is actually a bill credit at a rate of $10/mo. So unless you stay with Koodo for 5months, you won't get the full $50. Same applies to self referral.

Great find OP. These are not phones I would be interested in. Anyone needing an inducement to get a burner phone, the A5 deal checks off all the boxes.

What's the cheapest plan available currently? I need to factor in at least the first 3 months of contract cost.

TMS has a new rule - 1 phone/per person every 3 months.
But you can get phone from WM, WOW and BB.
TMS does not care what you get from other stores as long as you get no more than 1 phone from TMS every 3 months.

Can you say that each phone line in an account is for a different person?

TMS wants me to bring someone with me. Last boxing week, my son came with me to get his iPhone 8 with 200k pts.

I got the A8 from them last Sept then canceled the contract in December. I liked the phone but ended up giving it to my son because his LG died last month. Very tempted to get another. But the boy is going to say lame because mom wants the same phone. If not because the A5 is wider than the A8 I would go for it, more savings too. Smiling Face With Open Mouth

IDK the Staples' wholesale price from Samsung.
Staples is asking $330 online ATM. For 100% markup(just guessing), Staples cost may be $165
Remember that TMS does not give you the 400k pts. The points are from Koodo.
