+1 I wouldn't pay more than $5 for a 3ft cable, it hardly reaches anywhere so it's less versatile. Meant for really closely placed devices.

yeah I realized after all the monoprice promoting that I'd need to add retail for them to understand lol. I wasn't necessarily posting about the cheapest possible price but the cheapest I've found, and hopefully others too, in retail walk-in stores.
I was tempted to pick up one myself but I only need an HDMI to DVI right now and it's not urgent so I didn't. Plus I'm getting a $5 one from NCIX.

are you sure they didn't mean best buck for your bang/bank?

Still as another user said $28 is not worth 3ft. You get a pass for Monsters if it was a 6ft cable.
I wish someone could find pics of the ones I posted because I can't find any at all

No you can't.. factor in shippng and exchange rate, a single cable is over $10.. you're looking at about $17 for 2.. I'd much rather just get 2 from B/M and save shipping time.. time is money too you know.

My cousin had a HDMI>DVI (with a DVI>HDMI adapter) as a spare which he gave to me when I got my PS3, and I only need a regular HDMI (although I suppose I could play PS3 on the 22" computer monitor in my room if I ever needed to). Jack sprat, could eat no fat...

And it comes with the slowest shipping in the world. I'm still waiting on a Nov. 24 order.

Same here, want to buy at monoprice too but I also wanted to enjoy my new TV, BR Player and HTIB during Christmas, so I bought two 6' HDMI over at factorydirect for $8.88 each and they both works fine.

For those that are still so hyped about Monster Cable... please read this professional article:
http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/hdmi-cabl...t-2-268788.php
From there on, you might start to believe that monoprice actually is the better choice.

Wow.. that is not right. I'ver ordered from mono 4 times now and everytime it takes between 7 - 10 days. I wonder if CP is having some problems (shock!) because we've been waiting for an international package (not from mono) that was shipped via air for about as long as you've been waiting.
Anyways, if you can be patient then you can't beat mono. But I also understand how it is when you buy a new electronic gadget.
That's why I always order like 4 HDMI cables at a time.

There's nothing special about Monster. If Monster were $5 and Monoprice were $4.75, I'd still take Monoprice.

+1. Yup. I'm also a monoprice customer. It's so friggin cheap. For those who need to use their TV/components right away, you can buy the cables from Walmart and return it when the shipment from monoprice arrives.

For those set on purchasing Monster cables, if you're in the GTA:
3ft Monster HDMI cable for $19.95
4ft Monster HDMI cable for $29.95
There seems to be lots of stock on the 3 footer, not so much on the 4 foot. Not available online either.
Oh, and +1 for monoprice. I use a combination of those and C2 from RCSS (when I need one NOW)

If you need some quickly, you can get a 6 feet HDMI-DVI cable for 7$ at Maddison in Laval and probably at Addison in Montreal. They also have HDMI cables at "fair" local prices...
