What I like most about the suit is the part about the World Series bonuses going to charity.

On a separate note, I think that should have been the financial penalty. We don't strip away the title, nor do we award it to LA, but at the very least, strip away the financial incentive gained from winning. Unfortunately, $5M was max financial penalty I believe I recall reading.

I doubt the Bolsinger suit amounts to anything but put yourself in his spot. Must be difficult.

TMZ elaborated on the details.

Reese McGuire was allegedly masturbating in public while watching porn on his phone in his car.

Weird. When he's sitting in a suv, how does someone see that his pants are off? Also suv's have tinted windows which makes it more difficult to see inside.

Mercedes SUV with no tinted windows at a busy Dollar Store parking lot in broad daylight during a Friday at 2pm.
Too bad he can't be traded to the Montreal "Expos" for the jokes.

Cops say McGuire apologized to them profusely for the incident ... saying, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, this is really embarrassing." Cops say McGuire added, "I really shouldn't have been doing that."

You think.

Some of the comments on TMZ are too funny.

It's stupid, dumb, and embarrassing to him and the Jays, but no where as bad as what Austin Matthews did.
If Austin Matthews got away for what he did, and now that story is history, I am sure this will blow away too.

So will see how the Jays handle this.

Jerking off in a public parking lot in the middle of the day, is not as a bad as a quick drop of the drawers with underwear still on while walking away from a girl he was familiar with, slightly drunk and could arguably been 'flirting' with? Jeeze, where do you land on other topics would amaze me...

Alex Bregman, Jose Altuve and Astros Apologize for Sign-Stealing Scandal

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/287 ... m=referral

Apology accepted? Or NOT?

The "ball" is now in MLB commissioner's Manfred "hands"...what's the next move now that the admission is out there?

This was the initial punishment.

The Astros’ punishment also includes a $5 million fine and the loss of their first- and second-round draft picks in both 2020 and ’21.

With this admission....I think more is needed. This is what I think, for now

Strip them of Championship
If player is still with Astros, 1 yr suspension without pay
If player is on another team, 1 yr suspension at the end of their existing contract...ie they can't sign with another team until the 1 yr is up
$50 Million fine (?)...$5 Million is a joke.

Hope their careers are done. Professional sports should have a zero tolerance policy on cheating. We’re talking about millions of dollars and livelihoods at stake here. Have to feel bad for the pitchers they drove out of the league by gaining a slight advantage from the cheating.

Fine is too light. Pete Rose was banned for life from baseball for making a bet. Jose Canseco is also banned for life for writing a book about steroid use in the game. He can't even attend a game.

I haven't gone deep into it all, but didn't Pete Rose bet on his own team to WIN? You would think, that's a harder feat then betting on your team to lose and then purposely tanking to make a buck.

Sorry that's cheating because you've got extra motivation to win, that others don't have. 🤣

Pete Rose never bet AGAINST his own team. Don't see a problem with that IMO as he is betting on his team to win.
