So apparently all we needed for the Jays to win a few was for me to stay away for a few weeks then come back. I'll do this repeatedly during the season.

You can thank me later :p

You sure your not Kevin Pillar?
Haha, no. They win when I'm there. Kevin Pillar has been there when they've lost, through no fault of his necessarily.

Worth noting for all the panickers in here:
2015: 17-21
2016: 19-19
2017: 17-21

Don't sweat it folks! Just plan the parade route!

Yankees currently down 6 - 0 in the 1st inning with their ace on the mound. Going into the Braves series and we could be only 6.5 games back of 1st place.

too early..they roared back to win 11-6 lol.

I'm eating crow on Smoak right now and I'm pretty sure all Toronto fans are as well. I find it absolutely crazy how smart Shapiro/Atkins moves have been or how lucky they have been...but how lucky can you be really?

Pearce is on the 10 day DL and Campos called up. 9 relievers in the bullpen? I guess they expect Bolsinger to not last long.

Big Sexy is pitching for the Braves tonight.

I vote for Kevin Pillar to win the gold glove. He is the best hitter in the American League right now. He is hitting .300 and he is fantastic as always with the glove. I'd be surprised if he doesn't win the gold glove.

We just need to ride the storm until we get the regulars back and Cleveland trades EE to us.

Hitting doesn't really factor into Gold Glove. If we were Tampa Bay fans and watched all the Tampa Bay games we'd be saying the same thing about Kiermaier. Can't go wrong with either really, as they are both stellar on defense. Pillar maybe less naturally gifted compared to Kiermaier for CF defense, but bigger heart nonetheless. I don't know how their defense numbers are this year, but in previous seasons, Kiermaier had the slightest of edges.

I will say, I was really impressed watching Jarrod Dyson in the four game series - he's so fast and gets such a good read and jump that he doesn't need to make highlight reel catches. Small sample size though.

I'd like to see them go back to picking three outfielders for Gold Glove (it was once like that), instead of LF, CF, and RF like it currently is.

^ if the bat mattered Bradley Jr. would have won it last season and it wouldn't have been close. If Pillar improves a bit on some of the sabermetric components he might be able to challenge Kiermaier, but it wont be easy.
