Despite outhitting the mariners 14-7 {4 walks vs 5 walks) we lose thanks to some questionable late innings decisions. Oh well... what a fricking downer.
- and TB retook the lead too. Double fricking downer...

Wtf why do Jays relievers who throw 97+ constantly turn to breaking balls? Why do they keep getting beat on those pitches?

Brash is nasty, holy smokes that movement on that slider! How can we pry him away from the Mariners?
On the other hand, Bass sucks. I think once Cimber comes back, it should be an easy decision to let go of Bass. He has nothing outside of his FB, lost his slider for some reason.
Questionable pitch calling on Raleigh, been calling on my seat do not pitch him off-speed and low, and here we go pitching sliders down right into his wheel house...TWICE! Everything he's smacked has been off-speed down and low going back to last year.

It sure is! If the Jays keep winning series, they will be just fine. Even the Rays got stunned today by the Chisox and the Yankees got blown out. Off to Fenway Park where they do not need to face Chris Sale.DHWestview wrote: ↑2/3 is still pretty good

Judge and Stanton are now out injured (although Judge's injury is not too serious)

They doing well though. Kirk is my guy! Great contact hitter. Went to the game on Friday and dude had me out my seat I'm trying to grab a Kirk jersey!
On a side note - anyone know the best place in the GTA to get jerseys for best price? I want a Kirk jersey and a retro Delgado #25 jersey.

According to baseball savant, Romano's fastball spinrate is just merely good (76th percentile), but not elite, but his whiff percentage on the slider is elite.
Top 99th percentile in the league.

I'm guessing Romano looks at the advanced metrics and decided the slider does not get barreled up often.
Overall, Romano is setting career highs and is in the 98th + percentile for those advanced analytic categories by throwing more sliders. Batting avg. vs Romano sliders .178, vs Romano fastballs .300.
Contrast that with Paul Sewald of the Mariners: His spinrate on the fastball is elite and in the 92nd percentile despite throwing 5 mph slower than Romano's average fastball velocity. Despite throwing way slower, Paul Sewald is holding batters to a .150 batting average on all his pitches.

I just realized something...this can't be a coincidence
ALL Florida Sports Teams are in it this year
The Pesky Rays are off to a phenomenal start
Miami Heat beat the Bucks
Panthers Beat the Bruins..

For the Panthers, the Boston Bruins coach pulled a "2016 Showalter not using his 0.54 ERA closer Zach Britton moment" by not using his #1 40 win goalie for game 7.
The Heat beating the Bucks was making the most of Giannis' injuries.
