Refsnyder and his blunders... Cost the Blue Jays the game. Why not put Darwin Barney, who is a gold glove 2nd baseman over Refsnyder, who is barely a major league defender. Gibbons is a bleep manager sometimes.

Managers don't hit or pitch but make lineup cards and Gibbons really lost this game single handedly.
When Barney was available to pinch hit with runners in the 7th , Gibbons also choose to go with Refsnyder who left 6 on the game.

Are you referring to Maile the catcher. At least he could defend, this guy can't bat or defend. Maile was THE catcher when Martin was out in May, hope his is back soon.

I'd hardly refer to him as THE catcher but rather A catcher with his ginormous .121 BA hope not to see him anytime soon.

WTF Gibbons pulls Carrera out and sends up Darwin Barney as a pinch hitter. It's like he's trying to concede losing the game.
A fitting end that Refsnyder strikes out for the 4th time as the potential tying run at the plate to end the game.

.
Have you seen Carrera's career average against lefties? it's like .085. Sure Barney isn't a great option but it's better than .085

Just looked at Yahoo stats, yes it's .085 in only 24 ABs this year -- but in 2016 and 2015 he was a .300 hitter vs lefties lol useless baseball stats

Finally Jays to start a rookie rather than the pitchers that have crapped previously in the majors..

http://www.tsn.ca/jays-announce-rowley- ... y-1.827509

Wouldn't it have made sense to keep Biagini in the rotation rather than bouncing him back and forth and put Sanchez in the bullpen a month ago. Seems Sanchez's blister issues occur when he pitches multiple innings.
Said it a few times already, why not start someone new from AAA like they did today. Other teams do it successfully against the Jays, why not them. They just kept sending out recycled pitchers.
Now Sanchez might be pitching out of the pen, at least someone is reading my posts.

because most teams have depth, we have none until you get to the lower levels.

Nice start by Rowley and nice feel good story. Performances like this moving forward would be bonus but don't count on it.

12-7 in their since coming back from Cleveland. Tampa and NY struggling. Could really be 16 and 3 had it not been for the blown saves and Refsynder.
Yes it would take a miracle and I think the 1st WC is up for grabs too.
