Geez, when was the last time Stroman didn't get screwed over by the relievers.
Gotta love Barnes.

Loup enters game.
Loup leaves with the bases loaded and no outs recorded.
T-thanks....

Another typical loopy Loup outing.

not a fan of this

Nori Aoki cut loose by the Toronto Blue Jays for immediate bullpen help and with an eye to the future
The veteran outfielder did not fit into the Blue Jays' plans even when he was acquired from Houston in the Francisco Liriano trade

Hopefully he will catch on elsewhere. A good thing for him.
Space being made for invasion of the kids in the outfield next month.

I don't know it's an odd move especially since rosters expand to 40 in a few days

After the last two years this is really hard.
There really was hope for the second wild card which would have made September interesting, opportunity squandered. A bad second wild card doesn't happen every year.

In games started for the Jays, the guy only goes 9 for 27 batting .333 ; OBP of .357; OPS of 1.061; with 3HRs and 8 RBIs. He showed sensible defense and a good arm in the outfield as well.

Yes, let's DFA him because he's clearly the worst!

It will be interesting to see how they market the team for 2018. They have already announced an increase in ticket prices (yes you heard that right) and seeing how the team has played lately they will have to rely on past performances and promises going forward. Maybe they will announce a new long term contract for JD (?).

Ticket packs were pretty much gone in minutes last season but can't see the same happening this year.

Trading of Joe Smith marked the start of the dismantling for this season. Jays have blown 8 saves this month. If Smith's here you possibly have 3/4 additional wins which puts you back in the WC talk.
Jays are the Orioles were tied going into Chicago a mere 10 days ago. Orioles have jumped over 4 teams in the last couple of days and are only 1.5 back now.

On the bright side, you can get some really inexpensive seats especially when the Tigers and KC are visiting to watch this crap.

I hope everyone appreciates what Martin brings to the Jays, after seeing the clown show behind the plate since he has been out.
Can't wait to see Maile back soon. Wonder if noodle arm is going to blame the pitchers for not being to able to hold the runners tomorrow.

Did anyone think Morales should have been pinch run for in a 3-0 game?

I'm not a big Martin hater but I don't think we should be judging his value by comparing him to Lopez etc. Offensively Martin's numbers are not that much better than Dioner Navarro's who over the last 3 years struck out about 12% less than Martin and has a slightly better batting average...but didn't earn the kind of money that Martin, the 2nd highest paid catcher in the league, takes home.
