It's unfortunate the Jays kept rolling out Osuna so not break his confidence. They had options.

Full schedule here: https://i.redd.it/rveo5nhg9hlz.jpg

Jays opener is at 3:37PM. ugh.

Seattle will be bonkers because of the long weekend, too.

Playing Tampa 10x in September is gross, too. What did we do to deserve ending the season at the Trop????

Seattle is so fun!!! I went last year to all three games and it was a blast. There were quite a lot of people from Toronto there when I went, I'm pretty sure the Seattle fans hated on us.

They tried pretty hard not to show any Jays fan on the screen, so they just kept showing the same fans over and over again, thought it was pretty funny.

Am I reading this wrong? Victoria Day and Simcoe Holidays are off days? And the Jays host NY on the 4th of July? Terrible. Well at least they are home for canada day.

Carlos Ramirez or Dominic Leone for the 2018 closer role?

Osuna has been away for a few games due to him going back to Mexico to witness the birth of his child.
The Jays have two successful saves in his absence.

Since the All-Star Break:

Osuna has an ERA over 6.00 in 24 innings of work.
7 blown saves. Many of those were 2 to 3 run cushions.
13 for 20 overall since the All-Star Break.
10 blown saves for the season overall, which leads the Major Leagues.
Swinging strike rate is way down.

Ramirez pitched 38 scoreless innings in the minor leagues.
Since being called up to the Blue Jays, he has pitched 8 shutout innings, and has allowed only one hit and one walk.

That's a bit of a knee jerk reaction and looking too far ahead. Naturally, the spot is Osuna's to lose, and going into Spring Training, they will assess it as it unfolds. But it will more than likely be locked in as his role, and only should he experience the same repeated struggles in 2018, then they will reconsider someone else.

Depending on how the offseason unfolds, Ramirez may be with the club to start the season or likely next in line to be called up depending on everyone else on the payroll and their options. Not to say he's not deserving, but those other aspects come into play (fortunatley or unfortunately). Same goes for Urena.

There is not question for the 2018 closer role, Osuna.
Wonder if Cleveland has peaked too early.

Would have liked to have seen Estrade come in on the 9th to close the game. They way he was pitching today he would closed the game and got a CG.
