Did you just compare Morris to Scherzer? What about them is remotely similar?

Morris accumulated 43.8 bWAR in 18 seasons. It might have changed by now, but the unofficial measure of a HOF career is 50+. In comparison Max has 44.6 in 10 seasons while striking out everyone.
It was an anecdotal reference

edit: so use fWAr...puts him in the HOF according to your criteria

I don't know much of Morris's early career. I just remember his dominating World Series performance with the Twins in 1991 against the Braves, and his great season with Jays in 1992 (at the age of 37). I was always a bit sad that he never got in. Actually had no idea there was this new process that had been setup, so was genuinely surprised, but very pleased to suddenly read that he was selected. :)

Yankees trade Chase Hedley to get closer to the luxury tax threshold or sign pitching?

Marcus Stroman was first person to take a Lyft outside the U.S. today. He went to Toronto's SickKids with Antonio Albino to deliver holiday gifts for patients following the launch event for the Lyft service.

This is why, we can deal with the other stuff (i.e. tweet regarding wanting to be notified about Goins). Take the bad with the good. The good far outweighs the bad with this guy...on and off the field. Solid character!

Yea seems to be a known injury (sprained UCL which may require tj surgery) - kinda sucks for the Angels though

I wont say I told you so yet but I will start with the "I" part first. Time will tell. If I spent all that money I wouldn't want this coming out so soon after I signed the guy.

Tanaka and Maeda had minor UCL sprains that never required surgery and allowed them to continue baseball activities, albeit with an elbow care program. Angels were fully aware of the conditions of his elbows (via thorough MRI) prior to signing, and it's been said, so far, that he can continue baseball activities.

It's "news", but it really isn't to all the baseball teams that wanted to sign him, as they would have seen the medical report.

Time will tell but its interesting that it didn't become public knowledge until after the signing.
