Nice sendoff for Gibby. One of the things that went right this year. He came close to shedding some tears at the end.

Will watch the presser later today but yea management did the right thing by making it official. big standing O for him tonight.

One of the best managers we've ever had.
Always enjoyed his post game interviews...especially the ones where he's at his desk in the clubhouse, just casually leaning back all slouched and relaxed and all smiles with his sense of humour.

That was a well deserved and good send off for Gibby.

Glad the Blue-Jays decided to do this right and give him a proper send off.

We all love Gibby now. 3.5 years ago two home runs by Pillar in Washington saved his job... and the rest is history.

And that's just it. She went back to Mexico immediately after the incident. They also have a child, and that, along with the financial aspect, may have all played a role in her decision to not return to testify, which is unfortunate.

He may not be legally guilty, and we won't know everything that happened, but let's not kidd ourselves into thinking police were called, he was arrested, and then charged by the province...because nothing happened. That would be a farce!

Domestic violence is not like a murder mystery. Results of violence is visually evident, and that's what lead to the arrest and charge.

None of this, 'actually, I "fell" and bumped my face on the stairs' type of retraction.

It will always be the right thing to have gotten rid of him, because the moral responsibility trumps sport.
I get what everybody is saying about Osuna but isn't their something wrong that we couldn't have him play anymore for the Jays because of moral responsibility but Houston gladly took him and a few hours after court he is saving a game against us.

Gibby doesn't want to leave, who can they possibly bring in that's going to be better? Ross even said as much about how valuable his experience is. I keep wanting to believe it's the correct decision - bring in a new voice..etc - but something tells me Ross is going to hire a clone of himself - imagine listening to that after every game. We will see

Pete Walker, 3rd base coach and 1st base coach stay. The rest gone.
Hopefully a younger manager from a winning team like the Dodgers or Houston like the Phillies or Boston got.

" the season attendance total to 2,325,281, nearly 900,000 tickets down from last year’s total of 3,203,886 "

If u had a job and was responsible for attracting patrons and attendance went down 28% u would be fired. how are shapiro and atkins still w the jays?

They will be gone. Most managers want their own coaches.

Yea I can't see any of them coming back unless Demarlo Hale gets the job which is very unlikely although I think that would be a good move similar to what the Raptors did with Nurse.
