That was a well deserved and good send off for Gibby.

Glad the Blue-Jays decided to do this right and give him a proper send off.
I was down their today for Gibby`s send off. The crowd gave him a great cheer every time he came out. Go Jays Go

Gibby doesn't want to leave, who can they possibly bring in that's going to be better? Ross even said as much about how valuable his experience is. I keep wanting to believe it's the correct decision - bring in a new voice..etc - but something tells me Ross is going to hire a clone of himself - imagine listening to that after every game. We will see

Pete Walker, 3rd base coach and 1st base coach stay. The rest gone.
Hopefully a younger manager from a winning team like the Dodgers or Houston like the Phillies or Boston got.

" the season attendance total to 2,325,281, nearly 900,000 tickets down from last year’s total of 3,203,886 "

If u had a job and was responsible for attracting patrons and attendance went down 28% u would be fired. how are shapiro and atkins still w the jays?

They will be gone. Most managers want their own coaches.

Yea I can't see any of them coming back unless Demarlo Hale gets the job which is very unlikely although I think that would be a good move similar to what the Raptors did with Nurse.

They would be crazy to get rid of Pete Walker. I have never heard a bad word about him.

Yeah hopefully he stays around but it sounds like management wants a new system put in.

coming from someone who watches the NL east very closely, you don't want anything close to Gabe Kapler. Games will be 4 hours long, and they still lose.

Or put another way, just get a former Red Sox from their championship team(s):

Alex Cora (Red Sox Manager)
Terry Francona (Cleveland Manager)
Kevin Cash (Tampa Manager)
Dave Roberts (Dodgers Manager)
Gabe Kapler (Phillies Manager)
Torey Lovullo (Diamondbacks Manager)

There are still some noteworthy ones from those years, although it remain to be seen if they want to pursue managerial roles:
Mike Lowell (not sure what he's doing, but If he decides to coach/manage, hope it's for the Red Sox), Jason Varitek (special assistant), Dana Levangie (pitching coach)

I'm not keeping up with the search and the criteria management is using, but based on what antigua1999 stated - spanish speaking, young:
Joey Cora, Carlos Beltran and Sandy Alomar Jr are possibilities. They're former players with good to strong careers,
known for having high baseball IQs, fairly young and speak spanish.
