An earlier version of this article incorrectly described a behavior of crows exposed to crow corpses. Live crows only touch, attack and attempt intercourse with crow corpses, they do not scavenge them. (Actual NYT correction)

It's nice, but they definitely didn't finish the trail in time... The trail can't be much more than 400 m, full loop, not nearly the 1.75km in Tory's tweet.

Your right. If you look at the Mayor's comment in the first post, it claims 1.75km.

For some clarity, the Bentway path is 1.75KM. The skate portion of that is smaller. He didn't phrase it accurately whether by accident or by design.

I'm quite sure given the construction, there wasn't 1.75 of Bentway Trail open either.

This is the first stage..

The Bentway, an expansive new public space under the Gardiner Expressway, officially opens tomorrow morning, with a celebratory skate along a 220-metre, figure-eight shaped loop. The opening represents the first stages in a total makeover of the neglected, 1.75-kilometre stretch under the western portion of the raised expressway, between Strachan and Spadina avenues.

Yep, the skating loop is 220m, so just over 110 meters of the 1.75km... walking? trail or.. almost 6%. What they've done is nice, but... if they throw a party after every 6% and year of construction, it'll take them over a decade to finish.
