I just got my 40D today...anyone wanna buy a Canon 1D classic? :cheesygri
Enjoy, I just got mine and made my 20D sad (or scared). If you want to draw a crowd, shoot on high speed continuous shooting. This camera is a machine gun!!

Coming from the 1D that shoots at 8FPS, the 40D shutter sound is less than impressive...

Actually, as a Canon shooter, I must say that Nikon has always had the nicer shutter sound.

Btw, 40D has a silent mode setting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LEi3E3grlc
Using LiveView on an SLR is sooo amateur...the day I see someone taking pics with LiveView using a 40D, I'll laugh and take a picture to post on the net, and laugh some more!

lol +1

The other gripe I have is the single LCD screen for preview and camera settings. Why do people like that?
The day I give up my 350D body for a new one will be one where I miss the separate LCD display.

I'd be interested to join the group too, btw, although school is going to limit my partipication

While we're on the photography topic...here's a shot from some testing I did today with a 40D & 85mm f/1.2L. So far, I'm impressed.

Went to Lantern festival last weekend, nothing really impressive to shoot at. The lanterns gets mundane and dull afterawhile. Shot it with my 17-85mm, haven't worked on them yet though...

I'm up for Fall colors if there is an outing for that.

Im not sure about the sigma,
