Panama airport is very very small. You will only need 10 mins to transfer. no need to go through boarder.
I took this flight to Brazil last year, it works well. They even servers alcohol on the airplane.
Zoomer - 4G unlimited call loyalty plan for $36

Unlikely, because Copa is actually a nice, semi-efficient airline. They have a reasonably good on-time arrival/departure record.

Bonus: Depending on the class of fare, you can collect Aeroplan (Air Canada) miles.

Well they built a big extension terminal but yes panama is a bus station for connections. No security to clear unless flying to usa where they search at gate.

Copa is a great airline. If the max8 wasnt grounded its one of the few examples of lie flat business seats on a narrow body

Copa generally allows free stop overs in panama. Might have to call in

I have flown COPA airlines did this from Toronto to Porto Alegre, the terminal is great. They have a pretty good food court as well at the terminal. The lounge is great as well, internet is fast, food is basic though like crackers muffins juice. Alcohol is free in the lounge. I had business class upgrade so I got in the lounge, but I remember people being able to pay $50 I think for access or they got it as a perk with American Express.

Also, the women are really pretty on board, that should help :)

I've been to Brazil a few times now, and each time it feels increasingly unsafer. Everyone should definitely do their due diligence before going, but local safety conditions are deteriorating in the country for sure - personally, I wouldn't let any of my loved ones go anymore.

When I was there 12 years ago, I almost got robbed 2 days in a row less than 2 blocks from my hotel Caesar Park on Ipanema, and witnessed another one in front of Belmond Palace on Copacabana.
I am not surprised that it is getting worse, considering the economy has been going downhill there.

That said, book a separate ticket to Manaus (amazon) or Iguazu Falls - would recommended
